Radhika Prabhakar – President
Radhika is SABAW’s current President and its biggest fan. SABAW greatly helped Radhika’s introduction to the legal industry in Seattle and she now aims to pay it forward by helping other legal professionals in the area. Radhika is a local business lawyer with an international upbringing, and constantly seeks new ways to bridge cultural gaps in any context. She has practiced law in Singapore and Seattle, and recently opened her own business law practice. Aside from law, Radhika’s passions include travel, trivia, and tacos. Also, the Oxford comma.
Shanthi Raghu – President-Elect
Shanthi Raghu currently is serving her fourth consecutive year on the board of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington. She currently works as Education Programs Lead at the Washington State Bar Association. Shanthi graduated cum laude with a BA from the University of Washington, majoring in English with honors and minoring in Anthropology. While attending Seattle University School of Law, she served on the editorial board of the Seattle Journal of Social Justice. She graduated in 2009 and is admitted to practice in the state of Washington. A native of Seattle, Shanthi enjoys hiking, running half marathons, yoga and spending time with her loved ones.
M. Abbas Rizvi – Secretary
Abbas serves on the SABAW Board as Secretary. He is also a part of the scholarship and social events committees. He enjoys SABAW events, especially the ones he helps organize. When he’s not attending to SABAW business, he is an attorney at the Northwest Justice Project. At NJP, he practices family law and focuses on advising and representing survivors of domestic violence in family law actions. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and Gonzaga University School of Law.
Mudit Kakar – Immediate Past-President
Mudit Kakar is SABAW’s immediate past-president, and has been on the SABAW Board since 2012. He is an intellectual property attorney, practicing in downtown Seattle at Choi Capital Law PLLC. A graduate of University of Washington School of Law, Mudit moved to the United States in 2003 to attend graduate school. After getting his Ph.D. at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Mudit switched gears to law and attended University of Washington. A native of New Delhi, Mudit loves his butter-chicken, but does not know how to cook to save his life. Mudit’s dog Maya, is the (un)official SABAW dog.
Kiran Griffith – Board Member At-Large
Kiran joined the SABAW board in 2016 and is excited to be part of such a great community. She is an employee benefits attorney with Perkins Coie LLP. Her practice focuses on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, the Internal Revenue Code, and many other federal and state laws that can affect employer-sponsored benefit plans. Kiran moved here in 2010 from Austin, Texas, to attend Seattle University School of Law and has stayed ever since. Zainab Hussain – Board Member At-Large
Zainab Hussain is a data privacy and intellectual property attorney at Foundry Law Group. She thrives on the opportunity to work with innovative companies to manage, protect, and leverage their intellectual assets, and challenges clients to incorporate privacy by design, into every facet of their business. Zainab holds a JD from Seattle University School of Law, and a BA in Chemistry from Mount Holyoke College. When she’s not writing about issues in data privacy law and IP, Zainab enjoys cooking with her husband, is an avid marathoner (on Netflix), and makes time to put brush to canvas as often as possible.

Ranjit Narayanan – Board Member At-Large
Ranjit is an in-house attorney at Microsoft where he serves as product counsel for the Cloud & Enterprise division. Before joining Microsoft, Ranjit was an IP and antitrust litigator at Orrick, Herrington, and Sutcliffe. He has an active pro-bono practice focused on immigration issues. Before changing careers to pursue the law, Ranjit was a software engineer at Microsoft.
Aditi Aggarwal – Board Member At Large
Aditi works as a tax consultant in the transfer pricing group at Deloitte Tax. She completed her LL.M. in tax law from the University of Washington School of Law, earned her J.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia and her bachelors degree from University of California- San Diego. Prior to her current position, she clerked for a state Judge in Philadelphia. Aditi has been an active member of SABA in Philadelphia and Seattle for the last six years. She recently gave birth to a baby daughter and is enjoying settling in her new role as a mother.
